Beach Vacation 2013

Fun at home!

We have had A LOT of rainy days this summer so we took advantage of our time indoors and had an all-day craft/play day.  We started the day in a fort reading our favorite stories with a flashlight.

When we had a break from the rain we went outside and broke a bucket of ice to get toys out.  Stella Ross and Rafe loved doing this and it has become a favorite summer activity.

Next we made our own slime with glue and food coloring.  Who doesn't love to play slime?

We finished up the day by making kool-aid popcorn but we were WAY too busy eating to stop and take pictures.  It was YUMMY!

Might as well enjoy it!

This summer we have had more rain than I can ever remember.  One afternoon a rain storm came very quickly, but it didn't stop us from playing outside.  Rafe and I were SOAKED and we had a blast.  Rafe said, "I have never had so much fun!"

"Stay"cation!

Cory traveled to a conference in Toronto, Canada for 5 days last week, but that didn't stop us from having a little fun.  In fact, Rafe and Stella Ross were SO busy they didn't have a lot of time to miss Daddy.  Wednesday we had a blast at the waterpark with our cousin/best bud Charlie.

Thursday we had a load of fun at the Children's Museum and Chick Fil-A with wonderful friends.

Later that day Rafe and I attended a painting class.  Rafe is very artistic and I enjoyed getting to spend time with him doing something he is so passionate about.

Friday we traveled to Columbia to the Riverbanks Zoo.  The weather was PERFECT and the animals loved it.  It was such a fun day. 

A trip to Columbia would not be complete without a stop to Jewelry Warehouse to load up on new Gamecock apparel.

When Stella Ross is with Pop and Gram she always requests her favorite Italian restaurant with the "big noodles".
