Boo in the Zoo

We had a "spook"tacular time at Boo in the Zoo with Stella Ross and her best bud, Ava.  They were so funny running from station to station getting candy and "posing" for pictures.  They are two peas in a pod!

SkyTop Apple Orchard

Friday afternoon we made our annual trip to SkyTop Apple Orchard.   We LOVE Granny Smith apples but have never been there when they were ready to be picked.  We found the perfect tree and both Stella Ross and Rafe were able to pick their own apples.  Of course, no trip would be complete without the delicious apple doughnuts.  Fall is officially here!!

The first day of Fall Break Stella Ross and Rafe went to Gravitopia with their good friends, James and Mallory.  Everyone had a blast jumping and flipping on the trampolines and into the foam pit.  I was not able to get many pictures because the boys were always in the air.  What a fun morning!

Duct Tape Wallet

Cory and Rafe made a camo duct tape wallet.  Rafe has been wanting to make one for some time and they FINALLY figured out how to do it.  I was VERY impressed.  It actually feels like a real leather wallet.  Such a cute idea!

Look for the long story

We visited Rafe's school a few weeks ago for Open House.  His teacher told us to find Rafe's work in the main hall of the school.  She had chosen his writing to be displayed to represent his class.  We were extremely proud of him and couldn't wait to read his writing.  While we were looking for it Rafe said, "Look for the one that is two pages.  Mine is two whole pages!"  This is what it was...

I LOVED it and loved his enthusiasm.  Great job, Rafe.  We are so proud of you!!

Rapunzel.. let down your hair!

Stella Ross is obsessed with Rapunzel and the movie Tangled.  She loves to play dress-up and let me brush her hair while she sings Rapunzel's songs.  I LOVE the blonde wig!

Who let the dogs out??

Rafe is NINE!!

I cannot wrap my wrap around the fact that my BABY is 9 years old!!  What a wonderful and rewarding NINE years it has been.
We celebrated Rafe's birthday early with a dunk tank/swimming party.  The weather was perfect and the children had a blast dunking each other.  It really seemed to be a hit!

On Rafe's actual birthday he woke up to the ONLY thing he has asked for .... punching Bob.  Why he wanted this I will never know, but it has brought Rafe and his friends hours of fun.  We celebrated this special boy all day with a doughnut breakfast, a visit to school for lunch and popsicles and ending the day at his favorite restaurant, Kanpai followed by cookie cake and ice cream.  The day was extremely special just like our sweet boy.  I cannot wait to see what exciting things are planned for him this year.  Happy, happy birthday Rafe.  We love you SO SO much!
