Finding the perfect Christmas tree

We kicked off the holiday season on Friday by going to get our Christmas tree. Rafe has been begging for weeks now to get it.

Rafe and Stella Ross were so excited. They ran to every tree and felt,
smelled and measured to see which one would be the winner!

After a while the fun turned to the rock pile.

We finally found the perfect tree that everyone was excited about it!

Love at first bite!

During the football game yesterday we tried something new - fondue! It was a HUGE success. Stella Ross enjoyed the freedom of cutting up her own fruit. Rafe enjoyed the idea of it at first, then decided to eat his favorite cookies!! It is safe to say Stella Ross LOVES, LOVES, LOVES chocolate. (and yesterday we were looking for anything she LOVES! These two year molars are not being kind to her!)

Who is this?

Today while we were playing dress-up Stella Ross put on one of my all-time favorite costumes. Rafe wore this costume EVERYWHERE! It made me quite sad to see it zip up so easily on her. I could see the tears in the zipper from Rafe trying to squeeze into in one last time.

It wasn't until I looked at her picture in his costume that I realized just how much they really do look like each other. I guess Stella Ross's hair throws me off, but I have never really thought they favored each other. When she slipped this skin-tight hat over her head it brought tears to my eyes. I felt like I was looking at baby Rafe all over again!! Wow, time really does fly.

Who says Halloween is over.....

we STILL like to play dress-up!

Halloween Night

Halloween night was SUCH a blast! We went to some friend's house for dinner in downtown Greer and then walked, and walked, and walked some more until our little trick-or-treat buckets could hold no more candy. Sadly, Rafe was WAY too into playing with his friends (tag and football) and running from house to house for me to get a picture of him WITH his mask on. Stella Ross walked to several houses until we coaxed her into the stroller with, what else, a sucker. Once again Rafe's favorite holiday did not disappoint and we were sad to see it come to an end. We are already talking about next year!!

Stella Ross's Halloween School Party

Although Stella Ross does not go to school on Mondays, we were still invited to attend the Halloween party. It was so cute to see all of those precious 1's and 2's eating their lunch and spider cookies. After Stella Ross realized I was going to stay at the party with her she was able to enjoy herself, too.
