Pumpkin Patch

This morning Rafe's class went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch. Everyone had a great time. We went on a hayride, learned about the different things you can do with apples and pumpkins, touched goats and rabbits, went through a maze, and finally picked apples and pumpkins. All of the boys and girls were so cute picking out the perfect apples and pumpkins. What a pleasure it was to be a part of this fun day!

Fun Fall Weekend

We had a fantastic weekend. Saturday afternoon we went to the S.C. State Fair. This is one of our favorite things to do each year. The weather was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed riding rides, playing games and, of course, eating too much junk food!

Rafe with Robin that Daddy won him. It only cost $15! He also managed
to leave with a BIG Hulk and Superman. Rafe really needed all of this but
what fun is the fair if you don't come away with a few sawdust animals!

Last night was the annual Trunk or Treat at church. This is also a fall favorite. It is so much fun to see all of the children dressed up in their adorable Halloween costumes. Rafe had a ball. We played a lot of fun games before FILLING up his Batman bucket with candy. He doesn't need to trick-or-treat now!

Boo in the Zoo

We went to Boo in the Zoo Monday night with my cousin, Tiffany, and her boys, William and Jay. Rafe had a wonderful time. We zipped through the exhibits quickly with those boys, though! They were so afraid they would miss out on some of the candy. This has become a Halloween tradition and one that I am sure we will continue for many years!

A Special Day!

Yesterday was a special day for Rafe and Stella Ross. Rafe's soccer season is coming to a close and his banquet was last night. This is always a BIG deal because he gets his trophy! Rafe LIVES for those trophies and he was SO excited to get his last night.

Yesterday afternoon we had Stella Ross's nursery painted. It makes me so happy. I just sit and stare at it. Rafe even said, "I think it is gorgeous!" He is so proud of it. I will post more pictures after we get the window treatments and chair covered, but I just had to put the pictures from today on here. We can't wait to meet this sweet girl!

Sky Top Apple Orchard

Sunday we went to Sky Top Apple Orchard and it definitely put us in the fall spirit! We had a great time. Of course we had to get the WONDERFUL apple doughnuts and hot apple cider. We needed the apple cider to keep us warm, it was CHILLY! Rafe's favorite part was climbing the trees to find the perfect apple. Rafe and Cory also enjoyed the bamboo forest where Rafe came away with yet another bamboo stick. (that is EXACTLY what he needed) The worst part of the apple orchard is all the bees. I am not sure how we will fight them off of two children next year! We will definitely be there, though. The apple orchard is one of our favorite fall traditions.
