Like brother, like sister!

It is completely safe to say that Stella Ross is infatuated with her big brother. She cries when he leaves for school in the morning and anxiously awaits his return in the afternoon. Once he is home she wants to be wherever he is, doing whatever he is doing. (sometimes that is just not practical and this infuriates her!!) She copies everything he does and repeats everything he says (again, not always a good thing!) I think it is so adorable to watch her love and admiration for Rafe and for the most part he is very understanding and goes with the flow. Last night after filling their bellies with birthday cake she followed Rafe right into the bathroom when he was told to brush his teeth. This was her first encounter with "real" toothpaste. She loved the spitting part!! Getting ready for bed had never been so easy!

Too funny!

I just love this picture! Stella Ross's facial expression says it all.

A HUGE shark tooth!

Rafe has always been fascinated with shark teeth. So when we saw this Megalodon shark tooth he just HAD to have it. We ordered it off the internet and every afternoon he would anxiously wait for the arrival of the package. When it finally came he was SO excited telling me how he bet they "pulled this big shark tooth right out of the mouth. I mean look, you can see how jagged it is where they yanked it!!" I agreed completely as I was peeling the Made in China sticker off the back before he could see it!

I "moustache" you a question....

How funny is this??

Play Ball!

Rafe got some new baseball cleats for the upcoming season, but looks who's wearing them!

Beautiful Days!

We have spent most afternoons this week outside at a local park. I think it is safe to say we are all looking forward to spring!

This is Rafe's rock collection. He brought these home from the park and put them in a container. At dinner we all had to "estimate" how many rocks there were. Cory won and his prize was a "fake" $20!!

Career Day!

Cory spoke to the 1st grade classes at Rafe's school this morning. Rafe was so proud to bring his Daddy to school with him (even taking his own doctor coat, shot, stethoscope, band-aid and beeper!) Rafe's favorite part of Cory's presentation was the 5 lbs. of fat he showed the children. Rafe LOVES this. It was such a fun morning!

Some Day My Prince Will Come!

I have always been a HUGE fan of Snow White. I remember one of my first trips to Disney World as a child I brought home the set of 7 dwarfs. I LOVED playing with them. When we went to Disney World last month Stella Ross was familiar with the princesses but did not really have a favorite....yet! That QUICKLY changed when we returned. I have almost all Disney movies on VHS from my childhood (yes that's right!) and luckily we still have a tv with a vcr and dvd player. Stella Ross has the Snow White movie permanently fixed in Rafe's bedroom tv. We watch it in the mornings, while I am folding clothes, when we get ready for naps, when we get ready for bed, just because we want to, etc. You get the picture. It is safe to say she is completely obsessed with everything Snow White. We only read the Snow White book now before bed (move over Dora) and we sing "Some day my prince will come" over and over. My favorite is hearing Stella Ross say, "mirror, mirror on "e" wall, who the fairest one.... o all?" It is adorable. It is amazing to me that this little girl is growing up in a house full of her brother's skeletons, cars, wrestlers, Batman, etc. and she decides she wants to dress up and be a princess!! Rafe is being a really good sport about watching Snow White constantly. I think he secretly likes it, too, and it gives him an excuse to watch. I am hoping to keep them both in this fantasy land as long as I can!

Now we are trying to broaden Stella Ross's love of princesses and move on to the Little Mermaid. She is NOT ready for this!!
