Surfside Beach Fun!

We spent a WONDERFUL week at the beach with Pop and Gram.  As always there was lots of  laughter, good food and loads and loads of fun.  It was not a relaxing vacation, though!!  We had way too many activities planned to rest too much.  By the end of the week Stella Ross was begging for her bed!!

 Pop found a lizard that seemed to be very fond of him.  He bought

a cage and food and we kept him for a few days.  Rafe loved it!!

 Our waitress brought the kids some dough to play with while they waited on their food.  LIFESAVER!

 Rafe, Pop and Cory chartered a boat in Georgetown and spent the morning fishing.  Rafe had a blast, 

even catching a big sting ray.

Rafe has one of the funniest personalities I know, but he is EXTREMELY shy when it comes to showing off this side of him to anyone else.  Here are some recent pictures of him "acting crazy" around the house!!

July 4th Fun!

Sliding Rock

We took a fun trip to sliding rock in Brevard, NC with our good friends, the Stanton's, last Saturday.  This was Rafe and Stella Ross' first trip to sliding rock and it was just like I remembered (maybe a little bit colder!!)  I was not able to get as many pictures as I would have liked because I spent most of the time falling  walking through the water.  Stella Ross even went down the big slide, but the water nearly took her breath away and she decided she would just stick to creek walking!!  Just before we packed up the car to head home the boys decided to take one more quick dive but were stopped by a very large snake invading their path!! UGH!!  As a result of all the fun in the freezing water Rafe unfortunately came home with swimmers ear and has had a very boring week in the house not being able to swim!!
