Saturday night we went trick-or-treating in downtown Greer at the Halloween Hoopla put on by Freedom Fellowship. We do this every year and it just gets better and better. They have a Candy Lane, crafts, jump castles, music, and a movie. After this we REALLY don't need to do any more trick-or-treating!!

State Fair (and a bonus!)
Yesterday was our annual trip to the State Fair. On the way to the fairgrounds we drove by the baseball stadium to take a look and were pleasantly surprised to find the team conducting an open practice. We were thrilled to go into the stadium and watch for a few minutes .... Rafe even got a baseball! Pop and Cory wanted to stay longer but we finally coaxed them into leaving!
Once inside the fair it was time for food, rides, games and animals (Stella Ross's favorite!) Stella Ross LOVED looking at all of the animals and even taking a pony ride. Rafe spent most of his time playing games and winning prizes for himself and his sister. As usual, we had a blast!

Art Day Fun Day!
What do you do on a rainy, fall break day? PAINT! Gram and I took Rafe and Stella Ross to Creating Artists for Tomorrow (CAT) today and it was SO much fun. This is a dream come true for children (and parents) to paint, color, chalk and more. The messier the better. We went to an activity called Table Time where the instructors set up 4-5 activities around the house and turn the children loose to let their creative minds go to work. (there was even a snack thrown in!) Today's theme was Halloween .... perfect for Rafe. We made pumpkins with spin paint and marble paint, candy corns with sponges, painted on easels (and the wall!), made a spider web out of black sand and glue and drew on the chalk wall. Stella Ross was introduced to two new supplies - scissors and permanent markers! She LOVED them both. We all had a blast and will definitely visit this creative house again!

You can't trick me!
I try not to let Bowser eat after a certain time each night in order to prevent accidents in his crate. Tonight he found his food and decided he was still hungry. He jumped on TOP of his crate to eat. He has never been so happy!!
Rafe's Fall Baseball Banquet
Rafe played baseball in the fall for the first time and it was SO much fun. The boys learned so much and really played great together as a team. (they even finished in 1st place!!) Not sure what we are going to do now on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights, but I am sure quiet nights at home won't last long. Basketball is just around the corner. Congratulations Greer Black on a fantastic season!!

Game time crafts!
If you know anything about me you know that I am a HUGE Gamecock football fan. So watching games and entertaining a 1 year old and a 7 year old can be challenging at times. Rafe was at a friend's house last night so Gram and I pulled the television into the bathroom ...
It's FINALLY time!
Rafe LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Halloween and has since he was Stella Ross's age. He enjoys it so much that he has said on numerous occasions he would like to skip his birthday to celebrate Halloween. SO as soon as school started in August he began asking me if it was time to pull out the decorations. His answer was always, "after your birthday". As a surprise for Rafe's birthday Gram and I completely changed our house into a haunted house the night before. When he woke up the next morning he was ecstatic! He didn't even open his birthday presents for a while so he could look around at everything. Here are a few pictures of our decorations. Each room in our house is decorated. Happy Halloween!!!
