15 Months!

Wow! I cannot believe Stella Ross is 15 months old. It is exciting, and sad at the same time, to watch what a sweet little girl she is becoming. She is not my tiny baby anymore! I feel like she changed so much in just this one month. She acts, and wants to be, like her brother's age. She is following in her brother's footsteps, too, always wanting some sort of costume or phiten necklace on. Yes, this girl wears phiten necklaces!! This month she has really taken on more of an interest in Bowser. She sits on his pillow, rubs him, and plays with him. It is amazing how gentle he is with her and how rough he his with Rafe. (could it be a reflection of the way he is treated by them!!??)

Favorites:
  • Songs - If You're Happy And You Know It, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Old McDonald Had A Farm, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and of course Elmo's Theme Song
  • Food - she still eats amazingly well. There are times we have to make her get out of her high chair for fear she will be sick she has eaten so much. Her favorites are blueberries and strawberries, grits, yogurt, tomatoes, black olives, chicken, and broccoli. Her favorite "nack" are the cinnamon maple crunchies. Poor thing I have to hide them in the pantry from her because she will go in there, open the lid and start eating them all by herself. It is amazing how fast she can get that lid off!! Are we going to have to put a lock on the pantry door????
  • Sleep - she still gets up around 7 takes a nap at 9:30 and 3:00 and goes to bed at 7:30. She loves her bed. If she hears me say the word, "night night" she will drop to the floor and curl up. She has at least 10 pacifiers in her bed along with Elmo, a baby, a bunny rattle, and three loveys. She might love her bed because that is the only place she can have her pacifier!!
  • Talking - Stella Ross is talking up a storm now. Every day she is saying more and more words. She is now trying to put words together and she "talks" so fast when she gets on a roll. Of course this is just in "her language". Words she is saying are: mama, dada, brother, Bowser, Garfield, Gram (grrrr), Pop, night-night, bottle, snack (nack), bye-bye, berry, cracker, cheese, milk, more, tea (she loves some sweet tea!), water, bath, Elmo, Gymbo, bubble, and more that I cannot think of right now.
  • Favorite places - her favorite place to be is outside, but that is followed very closely by Gymboree. When we are almost to Gymboree I will say, "Stella Ross where are we going?" She starts looking all around and then starts jumping in her car seat when she starts to see familiar places. She LOVES Gymboree!
  • Animals - she loves to make animal noises. Her favorites are cow, pig, horse, cat, dog, elephant and bunny. She can recognize more animals than that but we have a hard time making their sounds!
